Re: [Tue] 28 May 2013 (Trees with teeth)
Bend - DC Medic This mission... was not an auspicious start to my evening. Teamspeak decided I really wanted to be talking on CC at all times unless the mic was muted, and that took embarrassingly long to resolve (Silly me, I believed adjusting settings would actually work rather than just rebootin...

Re: [Sun] 19 May 2013 (Methodicalism)
First time back in Quite Some Time, and it showed. Workshop: Took one of the squaddie slots and had a nice stroll through a few 'enemy' compounds as the Alpha AAR. Good chance to get my head back in the flow of things a bit, and the in depth look at helicopter operations was neat, as a non-pilot. [I...

Re: Alpha lite invites for the people
So far none of my friends I've polled have spoken for any of my keys, so if anyone hasn't been able to source one from the many other donors I've got a few.

Re: [Tue] 26 Feb 2013 (German Punnery)
It is incidences like this which make we wonder if BIS games wouldn't make a great medieval combat sim if you only replaced the tanks with knights on horseback. In principle, this would be the coolest thing. Especially if they somehow had a good representation of the effectiveness of medieval armor...

Re: [Sun] 24 Feb 2012 (SuperStrang)
The team that smoked us so bad? Was their Bravo 2. The guy who popped me in the head as I was running while under fire? Mamuto. Well played Sir, well played. You have much to learn, young padawan. Don't let the dark side of non-party propaganda convince you otherwise. Non-party Propaganda? Perish t...

Clergyman - OPFOR Bravo 2 FTL So in the pregame chat Mamuto and I, each leading opposing Bravo 2 fireteams, were exchanging some jokes/mild trash-talk re: who was going to utterly destroy whom. As he put it, it was "on now". I had Willem, Whitesymphonia and Daf backing me up - each of whom I've wor...

Re: Clientside addons compatible with FA
While I can't speak for Dogface, I use it because it's what I already have and it works well enough for me. Inertia is a powerful thing.

Re: [Tue] 19th Feb 2013 (Combined harms)
Holy Stones - Zozfor Bravo 2 FTL Some good house to house combat. I got one beautiful GP shot onto a rooftop with two enemies on it that had been pinning down another fireteam, which was probably my biggest 'felt like a badass' moment of the evening. I also had a near friendly fire incident where I ...

Re: [Sun] 10 Feb 2013 (Horsemeat Hill)
Very much agree that mortars could be cool - both for and against us, honestly. Last mod-saturday in the first non-aborted mission we came under AI mortar fire, which had never happened to me in Arma before owing to the fact that we don't really use them. Being holed up in a house as the rounds came...

Re: [Sun] 10 Feb 2013 (Horsemeat Hill)
Clergyman - Russian Bravo One FTL We were put up in the woods with the rest of Bravo to cover against a northerly attack, though Lazer, our AR, was detached to man a sentry post at an area that was previously unmanned. Predictably, this was the primary enemy axis of advance. As Lazer was wounded I l...
