Yes, absolutely, that mission was a roaring success. I just mixed up my [1] and my [2] in the mission trigger.

Re: fa_c45_short_straw

Nah I just fixed the triggers that I messed up and added some more fireteams to the valley. Messed with the positioning of units some to keep people on their toes for next time.

Yeah, while updating my missions to orbat2015 I have removed a lot of 50cals. Im trying to only use them when they have a very limited role (like they can only see down one street or down a single road) so that they are at least a little bit defeatable.

Re: fa_c45_short_straw

You encountered some perfectly normal forest-baddies. The reinforcements were meant to arrive in helicopters and a truck further down the valley.

Don't worry. A new version of the mission has been commissioned and the bad guys are a lot more enthused...

Re: fa3_c50_puddle_jumpers

From my experience last night: I think we were a bit unlucky with just walking directly into the technicals guns as we entered the town, but spacing their placement in the town might be a good idea. Changing the clear trigger is definitely helpful. If the mission was just to clear the town it would ...

Re: [Sun] 05 Jul 2015 (The ducklings have safely passed)

Problem with using HE assets when assaulting a building though is that you might as well shoot some wet tissue paper at the building. It wont even feel an RPG shot, and with patented ARMA physics, the guys inside aren't going to feel more than a stiff breeze. To top it all off, the most important th...

Re: [Sun] 05 Jul 2015 (The ducklings have safely passed)

Not once had I ever seen the real need for a Deputy Commander. Until the one mission I replaced the deputy commander with 4 attachments. Might have to re-add him to buzzard! Can I ask what we missed in Katalaki? Alpha had a rough time from 2xtechnicals as soon as we entered the town, so we got a bit...
