Re: [Sun] 17 Feb 2013 (Carson, get down!)

Another brilliant sesh! As well as the great turnout, it feels like everyone's getting more used to tactical movement and sensible comms, for which I think we can thank comrade Carson and his workshops, which I'm finding really helpful. Tharson! Slotting also seems to be getting quicker which is nic...

Re: [Tue] 12 Feb 2013 (Snipers? Say What?)

Another great session, with 41 folks sighted at one point! Nutcracker An adverserial -- Us OPFORs had to get a broken T90 down a long stretch of road in 15 minutes while INDFOR tried to stop us. I took the Alpha FTL role, and we headed West and crested a hill to check out a nearby town just off the ...

Yeah, mortars get a bad rep but I'd actually like to see them used more, especially with this kind of system. I can think of several missions where it'd give us more of a fighting chance and add more variety to the combat without unbalancing it, IMO. Likewise for light attack helos like littlebirds ...

Re: [Sun] 10 Feb 2013 (Horsemeat Hill)

Brilliant sesh. :) I mostly focussed on practising the Squad Leader stuff I've been learning in Ferrard's enormously useful pre-session workshops, sticking close to my fireteams and using more tactical maneuvers and formations. Turns out it's pretty effective and, I think, more fun for all involved!...

Re: [Sun] 03 Feb 2013 (Soviet Bowl)

Internecine II Draakon(?) moved our FT up into the South of the village using some beautiful bounding maneuvers, but sadly were were cut to shreds almost as soon as we got into firing range. :P Fighting Withdraw A pretty epic mission, although for some reason many of us were beset by frame-rate iss...

Re: [Tue] 05 Feb 2013 (Instagram Instadeath)

A lively session with about 35 folks, with a few teething problems setting up a couple of the levels, but with all the more learned for future sessions. A tired and slightly stressed Strang did admirably at controlling the mob. I know we all hugely appreciate what you (Strang) do in hosting these se...
