Re: fa3_c41_hornets_nest

A COV (Marid) is equally bad as an armed Ifrit.

Leaders (CO/SL/FTL) job is not to kill, their job is to coordinate the other guns for a collective effort, not to get some.
Basically just change it to an unarmed Ifrit, and have the default slots of CO, Medic, JTAC, UAV. It's the only logical choice.

Yeah, that AA gun was really painful. And it didn't help that a house fell on my head also :owned:

Re: Sandstorming

If the transport trucks carry extra, extra rockets we should be fine. On the NVG part I am not so sure, maybe you can play around with the cloud settings to hide the stars? Because, yes they can be spotted better without NVG's, but if we all die, then what's the point? To limit the ranges of engagem...

Re: fa3_cz64_good_morning_astan

Dropping into a hostile town is simply mad. And if you are thinking of a HSLD type of insertion, then we would get chewed up by the technicals and the bigger caliber Rahims.
Additionally, we would loose the IFV firepower of a mechanized unit.

Re: c40_helljumpers

Right, by that description I assume you must be rolling with Bravo.
By the time you all got there Alpha already cleared most of the town.

Re: fa3_cz64_good_morning_astan

Or, in the established tone. Fuck not using arma assets that are fun, powerful, different, and give us other challenges than managing people on foot. And fuck always putting us in HEMTTS and giving us absolutely no sense of agency whilst on the move. It is a different challenge, and we should fucki...

Re: Sandstorming

Definitely mobile forces. Since they use shoot and scoot tactics, we won't ever... ever get them on foot. I just checked it out in night and it seems that the distance you can see the rockets going up in the air is determined by the object view distance. You probably intend to play this at night, ri...

Re: fa3_cz64_good_morning_astan

I agree with Ferrard on the logistics part. Either decide right from the mission start that we are mechanized (1 FT and 1 IFV) or make us motorized (2 FT's), and fly in HEMTT's as transport. The fly in thing looked cool for me and didn't tank my FPS, but maybe someone had a different experience. Thi...
