Re: Helicopters: tips, controls, personal preferences

Well Ferrard, good point. That essentially means the Littlebird is NO different to any other helicopter. And as an answer to your question Thirith, you'll want to use the MH-6J found in the US Army tab. The AH-6J variant is the Attack Helicopter variant, means instead of transport skids you get rock...

Re: Helicopters: tips, controls, personal preferences

Don't practice in ArmA3. Don't. Their auto rotation is bugged and I haven't seen it fixed so far, which is a major setback as you'll be wanting to practice a lot of it (it prevents death by fall 80% of the time if you know how to do it properly, but there are other factors you need to account for, o...

Re: [Sun] 11 Aug 2013 (Joint session: CiA & LDDK)

Quite an amazing session, and definitely a lot of fun. It's nice to have missions with higher player counts as they absolutely last longer and surely provide more fun, considering that there are more assets, and, in theory, people survive longer*. Part 1 was a great experience as Weapons Team since ...

Re: Channel Commander

If you followed the guide provided in the How to Setup Channel Commander thingy thing thread, you should be set. To activate the whole thing, right click your name and press Channel Commander, then you're able to use it. If you had any specific questions, I'm totally blind and missed these.

Re: Channel Commander

CC is simply there to allow you to communicate across a wide variety of channels whilst still remaining in your channel. So for example you have channels ALPHA, BRAVO, CHARLIE, and you're in CHARLIE channel. Without CC you would only be able to speak inside CHARLIE channel, and you wouldn't hear peo...

Re: [Tue] 30 Jul 2013 (Coup d'état)

Sorry for screwing up Foxhound for all of us, pretty much. I see myself being pretty much responsible for that because I gave the go-ahead to shoot up a heli with an RPG (that was, unknowingly, full of people still). I'll just say it outright that this was not the plan and it is never fun to shoot a...

Re: [Tue] 23 Jul 2013 (Raising Hell)

Sorry for the dudes in the IFV for not being there. My computer decided it'd overheat (went to a 110 degrees for my GPU and CPU at peak) and shut itself down numerous times, at random. Lesson learned; Never leave your window closed during summer when playing games like Arma. Bad things will happen.

Re: [Sun] 21 Jul 2013 (That's Logistics)

Remember Running Rabbit. The VALLEY OF WIN and the tense standoff against a squad of EI (suppression fire at 10 FPS? SLIGHT problems there) at some random hilltop which resulted in 2 deaths. Also helicopter of death where people randomly died on us which resulted in THE VALLEY OF WIN. Actually let's...

Re: [Sun] 14 Jul 2013 (From death do us flank)

Exactly dancemoox. But I wasn't really thinking about the time / chance of death ratio at that moment but rather focused on "let's get there ASAP". Considering ASL later just told us to reverse (when we were already dead) I'd say I should've just given it a bit more thought (as in, how big is the ch...
