This is the session in which I did not die.

Poctalon: Opfor Alpha 2 FTL. Alpha 2 had the perfect vantage point looking South, and did our part by slowing Indfor. We pulled back to meet everyone else while they re-retrieved the data from an open field, and since our helicopter was broken from the rough landing, we withdrew on foot with the sound of Black Mamba's last stand making the last few minutes of running more atmospheric.

I recorded it, but the quality is rubbish.

Warlords Inc: Opfor Charlie AR. I spent most of the mission inside a building scanning the horizon. Apart from helicopters and a vehicle too far away to engage, not much happened for me.

Rebound: Bravo 1 AR. If I'd have known that saying I was empty would get the squad leader to tell me to pick up an RPK I would have burnt all of my ammo sooner. Between the two objectives we lost two and it ended up just mojo and I. Then I developed connection problems, and while SL told us all to stay still, I could have sworn for a moment that I wasn't even on the server anymore.

Ride of Valkyries: Alpha RPG. I only survived this because most of the mission was spent behind a hill.

Cholo Ok, I died on Cholo. It was worth it for the jazz.

Rebound
Charlie 1 Automatic Rifleman

Willem
Pr3sario
Dancemoox
Aido?

Just dropped in last night for this mission really, which seemed to go very well indeed. The CO drew up a plan that at first I was a bit worried about. Charlie were to follow the lie of the road through the towns. In the bottom of the valley. I needn't have worried though as Charlie 2 gave great cover from the East as we moved South. It was a while before we saw any action ourselves. We provided cover for Charlie 2 as they cleared the first compounds in town and after Willem went back to provide medical support to Charlie medic Rosswand, (who had been Arma'd?) we were told to move in and clear the rest of the town - working directly with Charlie 2.

We set up in a cleared out shop in town and got involved in clearing the southern part of town. Dancemoox ran off to do some scavenging and came back with a nice Alice Pack full of goodies to share around. The clearing of the next set of compounds went well as I engaged and killed a good few EI with my newly acquired gun.

Bravo were up ahead as we were clearing out the tree line to the East of town and had completed the objective. Mission Success!!

I enjoyed this mission because it was well planned, and better still, it was executed well. Patience was practiced and orders were listened to across the Squad.

Warlords Inc.
BLUFOR Bravo 2 FTL
My very first time as a FTL. After some trouble navigating the streets we found ourselves on our road block to the North of nagara. It was a good overwatch but open to sneak attacks from the west and south and very exposed with close to no hard cover whatsoever. It seemed as BLUFOR was condemed from the beginning as the UAV crashed and the CO got blued. We where watching as the Insurgents moved southwards towards Bravo 1 and my HMG gunner in his cozzy turret managed to snipe 1 or 2 guys from really far away, however we got rused by INDFOR who had send a lonely warrior out to flank and panic us. First he shot my lookout warner who had been watching the very same direction, then a RPG came flying past our car. I found him and somehow I actually managed to kill him, afraid that there would be more I told my AR to watch the west and before I knew it I got blued aswell. My fault for walking a bit too much to the right :psyduck:

Rebound
BLUFOR Bravo 1 FTL
I liked being a FTL so I gave it another shot. The plan was to move along the ridge and cover eachothers advance. It worked well in the beginning but being of the carefull nature ment that we lacked behind slightly at times and didnt get to see all the action. My main concern was more friendly fire than the actuall enemy force since we had so many guys cramped together on that hill. After we ambushed a patrol outside of town my AAR picked up a backpack full of lovely STANAG mags for later use. Sadly my Rifleman died in the very same valley minutes after, this however was not noticed by anyone until we had moved into the town :|. After clearing the town and almost getting raped by our own forces we continued to the outskirts of town to counter the assault. Bravo 1 had the short stick with a small compound that had two exits directly in view of the enemy force and only a small house with flat roof acces and almost no visials because of bushes and trees. I ordered my AR to take positions in the doorway and thanks to the other elements we managed to hold them back for a while. A window was my AAR´s demise but we could not waste the backpack he had. Bravo 1 was now down to 2. The other bravos had taken simular losses and we where ordered to merge with bravo 3 who was down to 2 guys aswell. Sadly the command didnt work out so we just tried to stick with the others as much as possible. After the town was deemed secure, the battered bravo rushed in and found ourselves with lots of hiding OPFOR. Dabbo, Bravo SQL died and because of my messed up CC I had no working outside comms. Awaitz took command of Bravo with 3 guys and we continued to move up. After a report that there was a mass concentration of AI on the other side of the village, we planned to set up in a 2 story house to spot but hey, one of the officers was hiding in the backyard and he ended his life as both me and my AR rushed into the compound. Mission over and a success.

Ride of the valkyries
OPFOR CO Medic
Because of my rather full bladder that I had been holding for the main part of rebound, I joined in a bit late on this one. However I was really busy patching people up from the beginning. Our TH got shot at and already we lost the ST spotter, he was dead when we landed and almost everyone was injured. Shortly after we got engaged by bunkers and what not down the hill of anar. The whole of Charlie died in an instant from a grenade launcher that also blew my legs off. The CO patched me back together and I managed to save the only person remaining of charlie (I think he had already left since he never actually moved after that  ) Shortly after this the CO died and I joined up with bravo who was taking a beating as theyr FTL also lost his legs. Some bandages later he was up and running and we decided to meet up with alpha who had been battered aswell. We met up at a bunker and to my suprise there was still a guy manning the gun. I shot him wich BLUFOR was rather unhappy about as 5 seconds later I got blasted away from god knows where. Now I could sit and watch as delta had actually been really busy doing the objective and had claimed anar while everyone else was dying and hiding behind rocks on the opposite side of the valley. Victory for OPFOR as the heli flew into the distance.

3xCholo
First time staying for the afterparty, first round the cops (SOMEHOW) won the round and beat the old guys :clint:
Second round the nasty criminals won as me and SuperU made a super sneaky attack on the rear.
The third and last the cops won once again.

Been a really great session with lots of impressions. It was fun dying with you.

Mojo out.

Poctalon - Alpha 2 FTL

Rosswand AR, Kefirz AAR, IceRaiser AT

First time taking the FTL role and it went alright I think. We teleported into the right position without anyone materializing inside a tree or a rock. Putting past workshops into use I assigned teams and gave a 'moonmoon' pep talk before we headed out east to see what we could see. With visibility low we moved further inside the red circle of death hugging a field wallwall as we went. Managing to navigate and keep Slawterer up to date with or movements and intent as well as the total lack of anything we could see we headed north a little to take cover in the only trees for a few hundred meters. The call came through from another fireteam that the enemy heli was out of action and that they were retreating on foot. In position in the woods just to the enemies west we opened up on them killing the data carrier and a few long distance runners. Waiting on another FT to get into position to suppress the enemy before we rushed them for the data I took a single round to my noggin thus ending my leadership.

Warlords Inc - Opfor Delta AR

Ininja FTL, Rosswand AAR, Stranglove AT

When I checked what gear I'd have on the briefing screen I made the decision ammo conservation wasn't going to be an issue. I took up position in what I thought would be a great building, once up on the top floor however trees blocked most of my view but movement wasn't an option when a littlebird went over. I waited in that building for most of the mission, only moving out to patch up Rosswand and to fire on the littlebird when it circled back around. Moving back inside the building to reload I got viciously attacked by a door and had to be patched up by Ininja. That's about all that happened for me in that mission.

Rebound - Charlie 1 AT

Willem FTL, Pr3sario AR Rosswand / Annoying AI AAR.

Best mission of the night for me, not just because I lived and shot at thing but because of how well the plan worked. Nice FTL movement along the road covering our assigned sectors with the regular "WHERE ARE YOU?" call from the AI left when Rosswand switched to be medic, he kept crying out for us at the most annoying times. Charlie 1 and 2 moved up to the first village to be cleared, our FT giving cover to 2 as they secured the first building and so on until we'd cleared the entire upper village and moved down into the lower. The call came through to hold the village from the counterattack and I'd found the perfect building to commandeer for our use. When the enemy tanks moved in I waited until they were close enough - or at least I thought I did. I missed annoyingly and was then out of AT. Once the firing calmed down a little I went on a grizzly ammo scavenge since we were all low apart from annoying AI guy. The first body I found had an alice pack full of goodies, I picked him and his former comrades clean of the STANAG and HE grenades they had and returned to our defensive position ready to move up on the rest of the town. Clearing the compounds as we went was changing, finding a few stragglers hiding here and there and dispatching them. Quickly we moved on to clear the woods on the left of town moving slowly and working well spotting and killing the AI we flushed out. All in Charlie 1 survived without a wound clearing the valley as we went :D

Ride of Valkyries - Charlie FTL

Willem AR, Pr3sario AAR, Steven AT

What to say about this one, I was sitting one seat away from the sniper in the helicopter when he got killed by ground fire. Confused as to where we were once we landed Charlie moved to the west side of a hill out of the vision of EI down by a compound some 200m away to the east taking rounds as we moved, Steven was wounded but we got him moving. This slowed us a little in getting first to the planed LZ and then onto the RV point. Then real confusion set in, tasked by the CO to look east we set up looking down into two compounds on the road heading north. Pr3sario spotted EI movement but gave me the wrong bearing, trying to correct it I was blown away either by a grenade or HMG fire from the village further up the road that I'd not really noticed. The last thing I heard was there is a HUMVEE in the town, followed by "initiating spectator script", within ten seconds all of Charlie were dead or dying.. Sorry about that guys..

A superp session, especially Rebound. I really enjoy playing with Folk ARPS, this is the community I was hoping to find when I first started with Arma. (And no, nobody was holding a Gun to my Head when I wrote this... :o )

Poctalon

INDFOR Alpha 1 FTL with Aido, Steven and Pickers

When I first read the Mission description, I thought: damn this is going to be like CrashSite last Saturday... As it turns out, it was even more brutal.
Alpha was ordered to secure a Radiotower on a hill and scan for the Helo Crash Site, but even climbing up and using my Binocs, I couldn't see s**t. It was just to damn foggy. So after getting clearance from HQ, we moved further to the "RedZone" to get a better look at things. A3 spotted the wreck, but OPFOR where already in possesion of the Data we had to seize. So we where ordered to support A2 in retrieving it. In order to support A2 we had to move over an open field with ZERO cover, and A2 in the urgent need of our support, I ordered my Fireteam to dash across.... all at once... turns out haste can get you killed. i lost my AT and AAR to two pilots from OPFOR!!! I brutaly killed them with hate... :argh: So me and Steven (AR) moved up to the next ridge to put some fire onto OPFOR so that A2 could get the Data. but the round went to OPFOR as they succeeded in getting the Bus to safety.

Warlords Inc

BLUFOR Alpha 3 FTL with Aido, Greyeric, Steven

In order to kill the Warlords hidding in a village, our CO devised a Plan to block all access roead with his Fireteams and flush out the enemy with the command squad using the Helo.
So we took up position east of the village but we had to cover two roads with four men. So I split my team up and went up a small hill to get some Intel on enemy positions. As soon as I spotted them on a mountain they saw me, but being more than 1km away I didn't think they would engage. They did however pop a few rounds in my direction and managed to scratch my ear, which caused me to cry like a little girl for the rest of the mission. I was so angry at them shooting of my ear i orderd my AR to come to me and fire at the mountain, with me guiding his fire through my Binocs. We didn't kill anybody, but frankly my plan worked out and the EI fled from the ridge.
Essentially that was all the action we where going to get, our CO got shot, Audiox stepped up and we where ordered closer to the village, but it was all over to soon.
BLUFOR Victory!

Rebound

Charlie SL with C1 FTL Willem and C2 FTL Tink

This was my first time as SL! And frankly, i really enjoyed it, will be stepping up more often now, possibly even to CO as soon as I fell like it.
First of all, thank you Willem and Tink following my orders as best as you could and being able to give me full reports the moment I asked for them. I had very clear comms with my squad, allowing me to plan with HQ, and Command Channel was very clean and clear. (How did i miss Iceraisers porn stash?! :P )
At first, I thought Charlie was the first Squad to be whiped out as we where only two Fireteams with no vehicle support compared to Alpha and Bravo. But we only had the first contact in the first village Since all the EI where all over Alpha and Bravo on the mountains  . With A and B providing coverfire, I moved my Fireteams into town to clear out the enemy, which as I recall was our job, but Bravo wanted all the glory and charged down the Hill right into the center of the EI. all I could do is watch two Bravo members dying, and I ordered my Fireteams to support them. Seeing that the whole village was swamped with Enemys, I only allowed one Fireteam to move when it was coverd by the other, since Bravo was no longer on the mountain covering us.
Well we seized the town with no losses for Charlie since Bravo took the brunt of the fighting, we only had to mop up the remaining straglers that Bravo left behind. I ordered my Fireteams to dig in and wait for the counterattack. It was retailiated very effectively, and we could move on. I had C2 on the mountain overlooking the next village and I told all Squads to "Stand down" :psyduck: until we get Intel from C2. This lead to some confusion, and Command Channel was suddenly swarmed with "what the the hell do you want us to do?!". Bravo thought I told them to stand up to get shot, Alpha promptly stopped firing, thinking I meant "Cease Fire".
Luckily somebody whisperd to me te correct words: "Hold postion" Looks like clear Instructions are very important...
So as soon as I got the Intel from C2 and marked it in Command Chat on the map, all squads where clear to move on. I blabberd to my medic about If we do this or that, if he can support C1 in town.... "Nothun WRONG CHANNEL" it screached in my Ears.... thanks Draakon, I stayed in CC :suicide:
At least command knew that my medic was still alive :?
C1 and 2 worked marvouslly together, flanking and mopping up, with Bravo still taking heavy fire, and losing their SL. (Essentialy I sent my squads to flank the EI killing of Bravo, thats why Charlie took no losses in the mission) After someone stepped up, bravo killed the last Enemy General, and Victory was ours.

Ride of the Valkyries

OPFOR Bravo AR with FTL Bones, Nimrod and Chuckles

What can a say, after getting out of the Helo, I moved about 500m to our rally point, only to be shot in the head by an enemy marksman. :owned:

Thanks for the awsome session guys!

INDFOR: Alpha 3 Fire Team Leader
-- Dabbo
-- Sek
-- Daf
-- Zergra

The CO got us to spawn south-west of the site, my team Alpha 3 were positioned south, upon a hill - but with no visbility of the area. I quickly started moving north to get an eyes on the crash site - which seemed to take forever to walk through the woods. Other teams had visibilty issues from their start positions, so I felt the pressure was on my fire team as we pushed deep within the crash site perimiter and with little support if we needed it.

Eventually we saw the enemy helo and they circled giving the impression they spotted the crash site, we moved towards where they went down - I got Zergra to try and take out the helo with his RPG (little did we know that it crashed already). We took fire from the north, I got hit, then was healed, then shot again, then I died from Chuckles fire.

Also, Really, really, really bad map marking by myself led Draakon and awaitz (IFV/Technical) to their deaths as they drove along the road unaware they were approaching the crash site and enemy positions  I'm really sorry!

Warlords Inc
OPFOR: Charlie Fire Team leader
-- Dabbo
-- Crocuta
-- Issus
-- Nimrod

Possibly my worst ever fire team experience ever, in fact, I did very little leading and did rambo tactics. I left my team in town to do their own thing, but I was expecting they would get a lot of action - however, BLUFOR decided to hang out and not enter the town so it was pretty boring for them :( After spotting the Humvee on the hill to the north of my position, I decided to flank their position and attempt to take it out by myself with just my rifle and GP rounds.

I managed to kill Warner but as I was waiting for a colleague with an RPG to catch up however, Mojo had spotted me and then proceeded to kill me.

I apologise to the rest of my team, in hindsight, I would have taken you all with me for a nice ambush of that bloody Humvee.

Rebound
BLUFOR: Bravo Squad Leader
-- Dabbo
-- INinja132

Started with a healthy sized squad, 3 teams in fact. Ended with just a make shift fire team consisting of the remnants of Bravo 1 and Bravo 3. I don't have much to say about this mission other than the AI seemed to ignore me and kill all my fire teams - usually I'm the first to die. My communications were better on this mission, which I'm glad, map reading/marking is still shocking and my key bindings still need some work as I keep doing random things when trying to use Channel Commander.

The mission did drag on a bit and I was conscious of the dead players were getting bored, watching me sitting still and not doing much. I don't think clearing towns are a good thing when you have a further objective afterwards only because it's tedious and takes far too long to make an area safe.

I logged out as soon as I was killed as I had to go, but it was a good turn out and I did have a lot of fun as usual :)
