By default the mission happens at night (only US Army slots have NVGs). Based on a concept by mort, made for the Folk vs. MARSOC joint session.

Players take the roles of Lor's escaping revolutionaries, or army loyalists in this tank and infantry duel. This is the same mission as fkoa_adv22_kettles, but with more slots - it's been made for the Folk vs. MARSOC joint session.

Description: Group 17 (Takistani Army) is mounting a night raid against enemy AAA and logistics assets in the border stronghold of Mulladost, but the plan has gone awry. Sniper Team 1 (already in position) has spotted a large column of militants heading into the pass which we are using for our approach. This is a night mission: FN FALs are equipped with AN/PVS-4 night sights, and there are limited supplies of NVGs.

Description: Up to 2 squads of guerrillas are trapped between a sweeping force of helibourne soldiers (played by humans), and a motorised blocking force (AI). The guerrilla platoon must somehow stall the sweeping force before punching through the blocking force to the relative safety of the town beyond. The helibourne soldiers must wipe out the guerrillas to win. Made for the Folk vs. MARSOC joint session on 07 November, 2010.

Description: A western journalist has been invited to spend 24 ours at the compound of a local (friendly) warlord near the village of Karachinar. However, the warlord has been unable to guarantee the journalist's safety, instead requesting additional security from the UN. A small detachment of UN infantry is being flown in, with orders to protect the journalist and escort him to safety if necessary.

Note: This mission was co-written with comrade mort!

This mission uses a visual effect, and I suggest enemy AI skill is set to low.

Description: Up to a platoon of guerrillas must ambush an army convoy, destroying or disabling a set number of vehicles and inflicting a certain percentage of casualties before withdrawing. The required number of vehicles to disable and casualties to inflict can be set using mission parameters. To facilitate an ambush anywhere along the convoy route, for the first 30 seconds of the mission all group leaders have a single use teleport action that will transport them and their men using a mapclick. This is a remake of fkoa_co42_highway, with the action transplanted to mountain roads in the east. Other key differences include the provision of (limited) satchel charges and a randomly-placed cache of IEDs. And more death. Special thanks to TangoWrangler for coming up with the new location (and hidden cache feature).

Everybody has pistols and a drink. Except the officer cadets; they don't get to drink (but they do have second lieutenant Azim's bong).

Note: General Carver is strongly encouraged to stream music over VON whenever playing as a UN officer or local politician. :v:
