As I mentioned in the session tonight we are looking to make some fixes and improvements to the V+ A2 modset (@FA_V+ pack) as part of this we'd like some input from you guys that actively play as to what you'd like to see added.

We've had the pack in its current form for over a year now and its about time we dusted it off really.

Simple ground rules, keep it dependance light and simple, we are afterall simple field hands. And lastly we're not touching ACE with a stick so don't bother asking :cop:

As it stands we have the following maps bundled in the mod pack:

Podagorsk
Cinder City
Fallujah
Celle2

And a quite broken Sahrani that also includes Porto.

Mods which add new factions, vehicles and vehicle variations, particularly armored stuff, so long as the quality difference between them and vanilla is not too distracting.

I vote to drop the current Sahrani map and all the maps that come from it and replace that with SMD Sahrani.

Keep the current maps (because missions) and other maps I'd quite like:
- MBG Nam (and as such probably some sort of mod that provides appropriate factions)
- Clafgan
- Caribou
- Carraigdubh (saying it's already on the server?)
- Namalsk (because some of the most fun I had in A2 was on this map)

I agree with Kale, adding more factions and armor that isn't that far removed from the base content is a must if we are moving onto new maps. Probably:

- US Military Mod (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.p ... 80s-90s%29)
- Modernised Russian Naval Infantry (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10576)

I think the important point -- and the elephant in the room here is the limit that was placed on the size of the last modpack is pretty small in relation to other communities out there. So let me ask everyone this: What is the maximum size you would download for the V+ modpack?

For me there is no issue, everyday we buy games on Steam that are in excess of 15gb downloads. So with enough notice (i.e. two weeks before the switch) then I reckon most people would be able to download the mod pack regardless of the size.

I'd recommend the following:

Red = Remove
Green = Add

- CAA1 (Sahrani + others) [-1700mb]

- SMD_Sahrani [+1000mb]
- MBGNam [+140mb]
- Japahto [+52mb]
- Isola di Capraia [+82mb]
- Thirsk [+300mb]
- Schwemlitz [+131mb]
- KuiK's Winter Camo Pack [+346mb]

Total addition to overall size: +351mb

I don't have a great preference for new maps, but at least one of them should be something that we can squeeze a tonne of gameplay out of, with plenty of points of interest (military bases, civic infrastructure, etc) and variety of terrain. If Sarugao wasn't as low res as it is (it's a modern port of an OFP map and I don't know whether it would fly with everyone), I'd instantly recommend it. Besides that, I'm mostly on board with Cam's choices.

After our recent "road trip" style missions it might be fun to try out a few small patrol/recon vehicles for fireteams. Maybe even an MRAP? I might dig around and see if there's anything we could use which will bring something new to the table.
