[GM] 18 July 2020 (Join the Global Mobile Infantry Today!)

Post by Costno »

14 historical reenactors travelled back to the 1980s and learned that they couldn't quite cope without the modern luxuries of red dot sights, gps, or range finders.

A fantastic evening, great fun to get to use the GM assets with everyone. We started with a mission that was certainly laced with RAT poison, which we managed to pull through because of Madrak's hand grenade heroics. After that, we swept through an East German village with some M113s and defeated a counter-attack just as it began. The third mission of the night involved a few Leopard 1s, quite a few t55s, a milan m113, and a bicycle. Finally, we played as the East and took out a town in the West.

Runlist:
  • Minutes to Midnight [Co-op]
  • River at Ribbenstedt [Co-op]
  • Logjammed [Co-op]
  • Cleanup Duty [Co-op]
  • House Rules x 2 [After Party]
More GM events will happen, someday, somehow. Keep an eye out!

All players, and especially team leaders, are reminded that a new set of informational channels have been added to our Discord in the TTP_FA channel group. Read and learn, comrades.

Remember to check out, promote, and contribute to the Party YouTube channel using this elegant and finely-crafted link.

If you would like to get some help with becoming an excellent leader :commissar: why not check out the Leadership Programme? This will let you get direct access to a host who will be happy* to guide you through commanding a mission, especially if you have a cruel and devious plan.

You may have noticed that some people have FA flags all over them. You may have thought "wow, what a cool guy! I want to be like them when I grow up!" Well, there's no need to grow up just yet. Instead, click on this link here and you too can have an FA flag of your own.

If you want a real FA flag all over your real body, click here to learn how to get a real FA t-shirt of your very own. Contributes to server operation as well as your Party status!

One last thing! If you would like to contribute to the server fund that allows FA to keep running sessions, you can PayPal your last grubby potato to server-fund@folkarps.com, or click here to use the Party's new and improved organ donation service.

Minutes to Midnight [Co-op]
First mission that let us demonstrate our compotence on our the newly acquired equipment. After spending all our missiles on that one armored vehicle, we made them escape their armored shelter, by popping their tires. It was quite successful. We also spent too long to reacquire a launcher for incompatible missiles.

Unfortunately, I only captured part of that mission, because of technical difficulties on my part.

River at Ribbenstedt [Co-op]
Nice mission, we did great. First we cleared a bunker, then started to sweep the town. We learned that Wallpapers sometimes look like enemies, and German houses don't have backdoors, posing a potential fire hazard. I also destroyed an enemy vehicle and it didn't kill me.

Logjammed [Co-op]
I spent quite some time, watching Madrak and Palmzia shooting stuff. They really need to improve their tank interior.

House Rules [After Party]
Unfortunately, I forgot to capture the insanity of the second house rules run.
