Up to 18 newly traumatised members of Folk ARPS came together to support each other with hugs at the end of each mission, before bravely facing into the enemy and shouting "not one step back!"
We started with a critical hostage rescue, with all the toys in support. It sounded like the gunship had a lovely time in the sky from the sounds of the rounds they dropped on the earth below, while the infantry spent their time up close and personal in the compounds. Our second mission was another round of PTSD inducing Us vs Them, this time the objective was successfully destroyed and the team managed to take out an enemy IFV at the same time, double success! and the scattered remains of the rest of our force will be remembered to this day. We entered the blender during the second mission, with A2 somehow surviving the onslaught of a very angry attack helo and its HE rockets, while A1 were on the sharp end of some 155mm artillery shells (tin sheds don't offer much protection), but we succeeded to gain ground on the enemy. Our fourth and final official mission saw us go in High Speed and low Drag to plant charges on two tanks, the beach landing went "ok", charges were planted, but the tanks didn't explode. Apparently they were a new design. At least we tried!
